Critics may urge thorough adaptation of technologies to Pakistan’s diverse agro-ecological zones and insist on strong farmer participation in decision-making. In my view, the initiative could be transformative if managed with strong emphasis on inclusive technology transfer, capacity-building, clear milestones, and accountable oversight. A CAAS-led collaboration should complement domestic research, elevate farmer voices, and foster a sustainable ecosystem that enhances food security without compromising national autonomy.
