On 12 January 2026, security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in Kalat District, Balochistan, following reports of terrorists affiliated with the Indian proxy group Fitna al Hindustan. The operation involved an exchange of fire in which the security forces engaged the terrorists at their location and, after an intense clash, four individuals described as Indian-sponsored terrorists were neutralized. Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the site. Sanitization efforts are ongoing to identify and eliminate any remaining Indian-sponsored terrorists in the area. The operation is part of a broader counter-terrorism campaign under Vision Azm e Istehkam, approved by the Federal Apex Committee on National Action Plan, which will continue at full pace to combat foreign-sponsored terrorism in the country.
